Spinal Decompression

Decompression is now available to people in Little Rock, AR. Spinal Decompression has been done in our Little Rock office since 2007. Our office uses the Chattanooga Triton DTS. It is the most advanced decompression table Chattanooga has put out and was built with the patient’s comfort in mind.

How does decompression work? The DTS (Decompression Traction System) is a non-surgical treatment for serious low back and neck pain. It works by slowly and methodically separating your vertebrae in your low back or neck to decrease the pressure on your disc. The disc is like the shock absorber of the spine and located in between each vertebra. Over time with wear and tear, and the constant force of gravity pulling down on us, the disc gets compressed. While going through a treatment, the decrease pressure forms a vacuum and pulls the disc back inside, thusly reducing a disc bulge or herniation.

Who needs decompression treatments? Patients are given a thorough examination and x-rays, if needed, to help determine if they are a candidate for decompression treatment. Patients suffering from bulging or herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, facet syndrome, stenosis, sciatica, and headaches are most commonly seen for decompression. Some patients bring in their MRI and reports from other doctors to help with the diagnosis and prognosis. Some conditions and patients are not candidates for decompression therapy, Dr. Gore will make that determination. Virtually all patients report that decompression treatments are painless and often very relaxing. If you are experiencing neck, back, or radiating pain then you should consider Decompression Treatment.
